Literacy Program

Literate parents raise literate families, ensuring a better future for us all
​Adult Literacy
Surge Community Foundation, Inc. (SCFI) adult and youth literacy programs address the needs of individuals with low literacy skills in reading, writing, and Math. 

We can offer curriculum are for all ages and skill levels in reading and writing through GED preparation or for higher level learners seeking to enroll in post-secondary education or training. 

Our Adult Education program helps adult learners improve basic skills, prepare for high school equivalency exams and transition to a career or higher education.  Helping Adults gain literacy skills helps reduce poverty, improve public health and advance human rights around the world. 

We connect Adult learners with experienced instructor for one on one and small group learning.


We provide tutoring and other services to individuals who need help with reading, writing, spelling, math and English learning.
