Ladder Safety Tips from Billy Spencer
There are specific procedures that you will want to follow to decrease any accidents including slips, trips and falls.
The below are everyday guidelines:
  • Always face the ladder while climbing
  • Always place your foot on the rung (the horizontal support on the ladder for your foot) so that the front edge of your heel is against the rung
  • Always center your weight by keeping your belt buckle within the side rails of the ladder.
  • Always hold on to the ladder with both hands while climbing
  • Always hold on to the ladder with one hand while working
  • Always maintain 3 points of contact with the ladder at all times
